In 2014 Blue Phoenix Lites was asked to find a way to replace the neon in a 20 year old art piece, in downtown Seattle. After a few months of research and development we were setting up the first major art installment for King County.
After looking at local laws, we found we could legally put white light in the front and red in the back. So we put the white in the seams of the hood and trunk, as well as a bit of white in the grill. This is an on going project and is the sampler of […]
The first show of Seeds of Venus. Live at the High Dive Featuring: Johndus Beckman, Drew Shreve, & Troy Lambert Dancin’ Shoes and Limpin’ Along Walking Zero
The same way you move a crowd with music, you can also use light. With a few properly placed objects, you can make a great atmosphere everywhere you go. This client needed a lighting kit that could be packed up and used in other venues. We took some special material made it “float” in the […]
Rolling Stones Poster from “The Bigger Bang Tour” 2006. Lined with EL-wire.
A great way to draw attention is by using light, as we all know. However, did you know it is the TYPE of light that will either draw or repel those that look in your direction? Take our friend Edd here. He needed the light to do a couple different things. He wanted to have both […]
“I need this Iron Man mask to look real” is what was said. After we re-enforced the mask to give it a bit more structure. We found some EL-Wire to light the eyes. The next year we had a go at Tony Stark himself. (Still fishing for more pictures and hopefully some video. The Core […]
What a fun project. Our first rock show. This was for the release of their newest album titled “The Gross”. A night of play at Neumos in Seattle July 19th 2016. Here are some videos we found. We’ll try to put them in order since we can’t seem to find the whole show. First here are […]
Crystal Mountain needed a bit of light in a yurt they had classes and meetings in. We hung two of our 40Watt Flood lights for a nice overhead light. Then we added four wall washers to give the room some color for those kids nights.
For this project, we were asked to light up a sign that would go over the entrance to the show room. First we outlined the sign in gold painted crown molding, then connected the sheets of sign board to the frame. Then we outlined the whole sign with high bright EL-wire. To finish it up […]
In the mountains of Washington you can find Cle Elum. The owner of this shop need more attention from the busy street. So we added some simple color LED and a controller to each window. Now everyone just had look his direction. Not only did it get their attention, it lit up his bikes and […]
For this Casino we lit up their walkways in one of the live performance rooms, ss well as the front outer wall and some checkout / information areas.
These guys wanted to see the products in the cases better. We lined each case with 2 strips of High Intensity Pure White. As we work on the new plans for next two stores, we’re getting excited to show you all the new additions.
NW PRC called us up one day and wanted to get some better lights on their shelves to show the products better. We have now done both of their shops now. We will add to the picture collection soon.
The owner want an “inviting waiting room with lots of color”. For his room he wanted to be able to make different looks and be able to let his customers play with the lights as they waited for their vehicles to finish being worked on.
An exciting first festival for BPLITES. We took and old hangar and made a party. This was at Magnuson Park in North Seattle.
A Pastor friend asked us to light up a parking-lot for a little festival. We helped him turn this old lumber yard into a sweet spot for music and fun. The Load-In The Load-Out
Can we light up the snow?! I think we can…. We had a wall ride with lit up skulls. I nicely lit hilltop tire stop. There was a sweet 10 person snow cave and few other awesome lighting features. It was a hit! The crowd loved it!
Thinking this was just a little tester house party getting prepped for the main show. Please turn down the volume before playing. The recording is a little loud……just a warning.
This Yaris was put up for grand-prize at a local Mudhoney show. They used it for a photo booth during the show. So we made sure it looked like a party in-side out.
We have done many projects in bars, clubs, and restaurants. Unfortunately we often get in and out so quick we don’t get the finished photos. As we find the random photo or two of these jobs, we’ll just populate a mixed gallery of them here.
Cars and lights just seem to go together. Whether your needing it for safety or fun, we can find some fun solutions for you.
In 2006, this was our first EL-Wire infused poster lighting. At this time, it was quite a success to get a good animation with EL-Wire. We wanted it to appear like a miniature neon sign. First we took some thick poster board and glued the poster to it. Then we used fishing line to sew the EL-Wire […]
One time (in 2005) we had a “night on the town” in Bremerton, WA and met the owner of this new club that would be called G-Style Knights, that was soon to open. After visiting awhile in another local tavern, as if to test the skills of our engineer/designer, he said… …”if you can make what I draw on […]
While a new local live music venue called Sound Check was still under construction, we had the opportunity to talk with owners through their needs and was able to put a great lighting kit together. As you can see, by the dramatic ladder in the middle of the stage, we flooded the place with color. With a laptop, a great […]
